Willowing Trees and Bobbling Bees

Wearing: Kenzie Vest, Anthropologie Skirt, Gap Kids Jacket, Vintage Heels, Purple Tights, Homemade Marni Replica Bib Necklace

So, that super DIY project I mentioned previously... THIS IS IT!
I made my own version of the bib necklace seen on the runways of Marni and on the Glamourai. This necklace style has been circulating the web for a while now and I thought... what better to freshen up a spring look than a handcrafted personal statement necklace. Though I like the Marni version, I really wanted to make a more delicate vintage looking necklace that would work perfect for spring. I started with the light yellow brocade and went from there. I raided all my moms old bobbins, and actually managed to find those embroidered flowers on old curtains from the 1900s. It was a really long tedious process, but it was really a soothing process and I'm so pleased with the result.
P.s. The Glamourai (see above link) has a truly wonderful tutorial on how to make your own, if you're interested.
